Save the Dates!

The Edible Garden 2012 schedule is available!

Along with other new and exciting changes to the longstanding Edible Garden Series, we will meet monthly beginning in January.  The evening will start with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. where we can showcase the great food that can be grown in our neighborhoods and get to know our fellow vegetable gardeners.  While there are several flower garden clubs in the area, we do not have a group focused on vegetable gardening.  We hope to offer a venue to network and gather tried and true tips from seasoned gardeners to professional farmers that will enhance the harvest from your home gardens.

To reach our mission goal to alleviate hunger in our communities, we need help from our fruit and vegetable gardeners.  As we help people be successful gardeners, we hope some will be able to participate in Faith Feeds’ Plant a Row for the Hungry.  Although this is not a requirement to participating in The Edible Garden, there will be opportunity at each meeting to learn more and join our mission if you are interested.

Mark you calendars for the last Monday evening of each month and view the initial schedule of topics and guests on The Edible Garden page.

We look forward to an exciting new year and hope you will join us!  Spread the word!  The first meeting will be January 30th as we start the year with a seed swap.
